CAREERS
Pedal Ready’s team of NZQA certified instructors deliver cycle skills compliant with Waka Kotahi NZTA's Cycle Skills Guidelines.
Pedal Ready was New Zealand's first BikeReady accredited cycle skills provider.
What instructors do
Pedal Ready instructors teach cycle skills to school aged children and adults. In a school setting, our instructors are responsible for groups of up to fifteen children teaching the core outcomes for Grade One. The ratio for Grade Two, on road instruction, is no more than ten students with two instructors. New instructors are mentored by experienced instructors.
Instructor training
If you enjoy teaching and are confident on a bike we’d like you to consider training with us. No other experience is necessary. Initially all new instructors attend a BikeReady Instructor Training course. Participants learn how to plan, prepare and deliver sessions for Complete Beginners, Grades One and Two and also learn about risk management.

Meet the team
Our instructors come from a range of backgrounds and levels of experience. Some have cycled their whole lives and at top levels. Others have just learnt and want to share that joy of learning. Meet some of our core team.
